Palestine & Policy in-Depth: Toufic Haddad, journalist,
Bay Area-based activist. Activist intellectual Toufic Haddad
is a Palestinian-American who was raised in Kuwait and displaced
by the United States’ first war on Iraq in 1990. He
came to the US to complete his education and moved to Palestine
in 1997, where he edited News from Within with Tikva Honig-Parnass.
Following the onset of the Second (al-Aqsa) Intifada in late
2002, Haddad and Honig-Parnass cofounded Between the Lines,
the radical Jersualem-based magazine.
