NATIONAL ELECTION COORDINATOR FOR PACIFICA
RADIO NETWORK
Pacifica Foundation requires a national election coordinator
for national office in Berkeley to oversee and certify the
fairness of the delegates elections in each station area and
ensure the elections' compliance with the Foundation by-laws.
This position reports to the Pacifica Foundation Executive
Director.
Duties include:
- For station board member elections:
- Appoint local election coordinators for the five
station areas. (Local coordinator will organize a local
committee to conduct all candidate recruitment, event
organizing, and other outreach/education/campaign activities.
Local coordinator will also work with local staff to
conduct staff representative election)
- Develop uniform election policies, procedures, and
outreach and educational materials
- Develop and administer election budget for printing,
mailing, and other non-local fees
- Supervise candidate search and campaign periods in
the five station areas.
- Supervise ballot material preparation and mailing
- Coordinate proper handling and counting of completed
ballots
- Report election results to local boards
- For station boards:
- Provide training and materials to local election
coordinators to ensure that station board officers and
PNB members are elected in accordance with PF bylaws.
- For Pacifica National Board:
- Provide training and materials to ensure PNB officer
and affiliate representative elections are conducted
in compliance with PF bylaws
